Playing Responsibly
There's nothing wrong with enjoying a few rounds of slots or a hand of blackjack. The line we care about is the one between entertainment and something that starts costing more than money. This page is about staying on the right side of it, and about where to turn if you've already crossed it.
Setting Your Own Limits
Almost every casino we list lets you set a deposit limit from your account settings, by the day, week or month. Lowering a limit takes effect straight away; raising one usually comes with a waiting period, which is exactly the point. Many casinos also offer loss limits, session reminders that pop up after a set time, and cooling-off periods from 24 hours to several weeks. If you need a longer break, ask the casino for self-exclusion; a good operator will close the account for the period you choose and stop sending you promotions.
Your payment method can help as well. Paying in from an e-wallet like MuchBetter means you can decide how much goes into the wallet each month and treat that balance as your whole budget. In Ontario, the province's BetGuard program lets you self-exclude from all regulated sites at once, and Alberta's AGLC runs its own program; offshore casinos aren't connected to either, so exclude yourself with each offshore casino directly.
Signs That Something Might Be Wrong
Problem gambling rarely looks dramatic at first. It can be spending more than you planned, going back to win back what you've lost, or dipping into money meant for rent or bills. Some people notice they're gambling to escape stress, hiding how much they play from people close to them, or feeling restless on days they don't play. None of this makes you a bad person. It does mean it's time to take a break and talk to someone.
Help in Canada
Canada has no single national gambling helpline; support is organised by province. In Ontario, ConnexOntario answers at 1-866-531-2600, around the clock and free of charge. Albertans can call the Addiction Helpline at 1-866-332-2322, and there are provincial lines in British Columbia (1-888-795-6111) and Quebec (1-800-461-0140). If you ever feel at risk of harming yourself, call or text 9-8-8 at any time. You must be 19 or older to gamble online in most provinces, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.
Help by Country
This site covers MuchBetter casinos in sixteen countries, and each one has its own support services. The table below lists where to get help in each of them; note that the minimum age isn't 18 everywhere, since Canada sets 18 or 19 depending on the province and Belgium sets 21.

Keeping Minors Out
Casinos are for adults only, and every operator we list checks age and identity before paying out. If children use your devices, lock your casino and wallet apps behind a PIN or biometric login, log out after playing, and consider filtering software such as Net Nanny or Gamban to block gambling sites on shared computers and phones.
